You're an 45-60 minutes south of me, and its a solid 60-75 minutes from Center of Tampa to Orlando Expo Center. I'm assuming this is a place on or about International Drive over in Orlando. That does not take I-4 traffic into account which can add a significant amount to overall travel time. Your basic route is head east until you get to 75, 75 north to I-4, I-4 east to Orlando. Let me know if you plan to attend, I'm thinking about heading over there Saturday, don't know how late I would stay. Can anyone tell me if this is primarily a 'consumer sales' oriented show or is this more of what I would call a trade show?
Note to W2,
a friend's supervisor is going to be visiting Amelia Island/JAX this week, care of Gatorade. He would be the inebriated, overweight, Yankee that's not sure why he's there, doesn't know who's playing, and will need directions back to the airport so he can leave. Let me know if you see him. |

Remember Bill, I'm not coming down 'till MARCH . . . so don't mistake this guy for me . . .
I believe that the Orlando Show's a consumer show . . . |

Location: 6 String Ranch | Orlando is a vintage show, totally consumer oriented. That said probably all the action will be dealers buying from other dealers.
I'm no where near the airport by design this weekend so I won't see him there. Fat, drunk Yankee, ....which one?
This Island has gone star crazy, Did you see .....? and everyone runs over to that restaurant to see. I am telling everyone I saw Elvis's tour bus in the Harris Teeter Parking lot. He was in buying peanut butter and bananas. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Timm Kummer (Kummers Vintage)will be at the show. I understand that many of the larger dealers who have come in the past aren't this year. I also don't want to drive through JAX this weekend with all the drunk yankees on the road. We're hiding out on the island putting peanut butter on bananas and playing guitar. I do hope that the Maple Leafs win. |

The Expo Center is just off I-4 at SR-50. It's right behind T.D. Waterhouse, wher the Orlando Magic lose, er, I mean, play.
W-2,
That's a shame that some of the larger dealers are backing out this year. I've gone every year for the last eight years, and it seems as though the show gets a little less interesting each year.

Based on Jeff's info you can add about 30 minutes to anything I said. Also, it suggests the scenic(?) alternate route of going up I-75 past Tampa exiting onto SR50 east over to Orland. Although 50 is mostly a 2 lane secondary road, it probably won't have the traffic issues of I-4. Transit time will be likely comparable. |

Location: Midland, MI | Thanks for the directions and info. The bosslady is making noises about going to Disneyland (I detest anything Disney) so I suggested maybe I'd just dump her off, er, uh, have her leave me at the guitar show. :) But, I suspect that would lead to trouble... |

| Howie had the same consensus... not a big mover and shaker of a show.... wasn't worth the booth fees.
