Wow! Every year it gets better and better! I won't spoil the surprises - but they definitely add some flavor!

Thanks DZ and Brad for a PHENOMENAL job, as usual!

I can't wait for January now!

Brad, did you tell her where Idaho is? Sometimes I think you're the only one east of the Mississippi who has ever been here, except for the Kennedys and Kerrys, but they probably just have their jets on autopilot.

The Motor City is ground-zero for OFC Calendar distribution.
The further you are from here, the longer it's gonna take.
But the fact that a couple Jersey boys already got theirs is a good sign.

Cliff... are you happy with the (ahem) outcome???

I was just there and had a very nice visit. Between this trip and the trip to Montana, my geography knowledge of the continental US is complete.

I've been eagerly checking my mailbox at the office the last couple of days. Today someone told me that the postman has not delivered anything the last two days because the front door is taped off for repairs to the sidewalk.

"We have a back door too." I said with remarkable calm to the secretary.

She said, "I know. They were ringing the back door bell until Wednesday, but no deliveries since."

AARRRGGHH!!!!

I posted this in the other thread:

I arrived at my second job at 5:00pm. It's now 7:09pm. I just looked at the calendar. WOW!!! Great job. Great photos. Hat's off to Zilla and Brad. Now I know the world will go on past January 3rd. You have raised the bar on quality photos. Thank goodness I have a whole year to work on my technique.

Thanks Again!!

I got it! 2 months, and the cover, I'm very honored, thanks guys.

I really like the way y'all did the background behind the calendar with a picture of the person's featured guitar.

I was wondering what Mark was going to do on "Hairstyle Appreciation Day", but then I saw you had "Bald and Free Day", so now I don't feel so bad for him.

I'm also glad you included "Fight Procrastination Day", but I think I'll wait till the following year to celebrate that one.

Great job guys! Mega kudos to all that participated contributing pictures, and all involved with it's creation.

Thanks, Charlie. I had a similar combination planned for my OFC with the wisteria in bloom, but the weather didn't cooperate. Maybe next spring. I think I'm a bit ahead of you in the international trade department. Six VWs and 4 Porsches and we still plan on another trip to Germany next spring.

So what happened to the "special relationship"? Germany before England? If the French get in ahead as well I may have to reconsider my position.

Maybe it's the fact that the British cars are so reliable. I see the new Jag has only been recalled twice so far--this month. It's sad that they were more reliable when they were Fords.

Schroeder.... Over here there have recently been several "news" articles about how you Brits are just "too nice". As a society you guys accept a much lower quality of personal service than we hyper-active Yanks would ever put up with.
The articles discussed your overall love of standing in a que.
I thought about e-mailing you the articles. If I find them, I will.
So... It's time for our Queen serving friends to step up and demand that you be treated better by the business' that want you to spend your hard earned money.
I want you to take up this rightous cause just after you get your calendar.

OK. That'll be fine. No complaints from me. I'm sure the calendar will be here by Easter.
If any of you impatient Yanks want to go to war on my behalf, please feel free to nuke Maytag. They want $17 (you read that right) for a replacement light bulb for the water/ice dispenser and they want just shy of $700 (you read that right) for a new thermostat. I can't believe the American economy is in recession given the overseas earnings of Maytag and Ovation. Not that I'm complaining you understand.

Wives are interesting. Mine was very happy to have me go to Witko's house this last weekend. The way she says it is that then "I can go talk to somebody about guitars who cares the subject"....

It's almost like they read the same script :D

I have to confess that I have only recently started playing (less than 3 years) and have more than one guitar at home.

She says "If you had been playing for 100 years or was any good I wouldn't mind...."

I don't have the heart to say that I would probably be dead if I was that old or why would she have wanted to marry a man 50 years older than her in the first place....

Ah women - you gotta luv 'em

Mine and I have a great understanding when it comes to discussions surrounding our passions. I can talk all day long about guitars. Just babble on and on to my hearts content. She, on the other hand, can do the same about Pilates and yoga. With no disruption whatsoever. The only flaw in the system comes when we're in the same room so we try to avoid that as much as possible...

Mine is hearing impaired. I used to say listening impaired, but she is going in for ear surgery Monday. We can't have a conversation at the dinner table, because all she can hear is her chewing. She thinks she is talking loudly, but I can't hear her. Same in the car.
This works fine. I just pretend I understand what she's saying and if she accuses me of failing to tell her something, I say I told her but she just didn't hear me. She's never accused me of playing a guitar too loud.

Don't let yourself feel bad.
Dat's what they make magic markers for.

FYI... Cliff offered a generous above & beyond donation to "sponsor" that particular day.

You should have started an auction - we would have outbid him to keep him out. You would have had enough money to make a 14 month calendar.

As an homage to the out-going Administration, it was a No-Bid Contract . . .

Love the "an".
So few Americans speak English.
I did appreciate the significance of the date. But I never let the opportunity for a cheap shot pass me by. Wish I lived a little closer. Had a Templeman uke delivered today as part of SWMBO's xmas present - most excellent.

Speaking of which, NEVER put a smaller AirLock in a larger soundhole.

(more frustrating than that friggin' old boardwalk ClawCrane/StuffedToys machine.)

Speaking of which:

I recently put a full-sized FeedbackBuster bung into a 1613 Classical (with the fingerboard that extends INTO the soundhole . . ..

Took a bit of doing (and some X-Acto surgery), but it got "done".

I'll post some pics when I get a chance . . .
