Location: Lake Hiawatha, New Jersey | I'm looking to get some inexpensive congas to incorporate into our acoustic gigs. Was hoping someone with some know how could recommend a decent brand/model #. Dunno squat about 'em, and don't want to exactly buy crappy ones either. If I have to spend a lil more for something dramatically better I'd consider it. Hard to tell the crappy ones from the good ones on ebay or even in the stores.
Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks.
Be well,

Location: 6 String Ranch | LP is always a good thing. There is the slightly lower cousin line called Toca, also very good and a bit more budget oriented (more like am Elite/Legend difference not Elite/celibrity spread) |

Location: Lake Hiawatha, New Jersey | Actually, I'm thinkin' bongos are more my speed. After lookin' at some photos of congas, my bad back just tapped me on the shoulder and said, "Are you thinkin' about luggin' 'em to gigs with all the other P.A. gear and crap you have to carry?... well, uh...bongos may just be a better choice for you, buddy!"
I'll get the LP's!
Thanks.

Location: NJ | I bought a pair of LP Aspire's at Richie's for like $60 a couple years ago . . . get a stand tho, - I had a really hard time holding those things between my knees (shut up, Witko!) while I was sitting on a stool.
Templeman's got some really cool ALL-WOOD (heads & all) ones on his website, but he incommunicado right now traveling through "d'Sowph" on his way to NAMM.
. . . . right about now he's probably in West Texas being sexually humiliated by some big fat barmaid with a star tattooed on her ass . . . |
