Hey now,
A few days ago a 12 string white elite came onto ebay for a few hours. I still can not name the exact model. I hope it is not the 1538, which was an elite 12 string made one year after the 1537.( only because I did not buy it). I insluded the address, but in case it does not link still, here are the curious points.

12 string Elite with no cutaway. Color is white. 12th fret has maple triangle, pearl heart inlay and maple triangle inlay. (heart surrounded by triangle inlays), Other then this looks like a normal 12 string elite, with ovation headstock, gold tuners and epaulets. The binding does look like it's brown, but can't tell if it is wood or just a colored stripe.
I am just curious, Has any one ever seen a 1538 ? Ovation price guide lists it as made for one year only (I think)?
thanks for all/any help. peace mike

It appears to be a 1758.

There is a sunburst one on Ebay that looks like the one Glenn Hess just picked up from me.

I don't think the white was that custom of a color. I have a 1718 that is white. Looking at the heart, at least in my opinion it doesn't identically resemble the triangle inlays. It may have been added after the fact.

It's a nice guitar overall.

I believe this is the very rare and desirable Nancy Wilson signature model, way cool and before Ms.E came out with her thingy on the 12th fret. ;)

I think the heart was an after market thing.

Not a custom color but quite rare. I had a 1989 shallow six-string version and really liked it. The heart is bogus and looks it.
