| I have the chance to get a fender Acoustasonic s/fx jumbo model.
I love this amp. seems to be everything I need in one nice package.
as I can find no info on the fender site on this model was wondering if anyone here knew about em.
the owner is asking $450 for it. vgc w/footswitch
just put my peavey special 212 in for sale to soften the crunch on the wallet.
so looks like out of pocket will be 75-100 dollars or so.
thanks in advance.
God Bless

I have a Acoustasonic 30 and it does the job very well, I got it before they put all the effects in them. I have played through a Acoustasonic Jr. another nice amp. So an Ovation through two different Fender Acoustasonics and the O just shined.
Pray about it

I have an SFX and just love it. I checked out a bunch of acoustic amps and this one along with the GB Shenandoah 85 sounded the best with the Ovations. The SFX is a heavier bulkier beast but if you are not planning on dragging it around to much and gigging with it, it is great.
Is the SFX that you are looking at the new model or the old model? The newer model actually has smaller speakers compared to the original.
If it is the newer model, that would be a very nice deal since they sell for about $700 new when you can find them. The older ones looked like a double stack (I think the picture you posted was for the older model).
Here are the reviews on the original SFX:

Hope this helps

I sw one very similar in The Guitar Center this past weekend, It was used and they wanted
between $700- $800,so $400 lookes like a good buy. I've been looking at the Fender Acoustsonic
30 with is is on their web site. I'm also looking at the Roland AC 60 which is a couple of hundred more than the Fender but a little smaller and lighter. It has a Fantastic sound especially when I tried with a used Custom Legend
they had for sale even with a cracked top all
the Guys Playing Taylors stopped and looked. Quite a compliment since I'm not that good of a player. Good luck with the Fender if You get it.
Sounds like a reasonable deal. :D  |

| Thanks all.
Looks like I'm gonna go ahead and get it. it is the older model as pictured.
I like the idea of an all-in-one type system, so now instead of taking up all the extra room w/the head and cabs for my p.a. I'll now have more room for friends or guitars.(I like that idea.)
I talked w/howie b4 the service today and he seems to think we'll be able to come to an agreement.
the amp has been sitting there on consignment for about 3 months now.. he's calling the owner for me
tonite. I'll let you all know what happens.
Thanks for all the input and opinion it really helped.
God Bless
