The 1994 catalog shows Elites in a non cutaway configuration. The 1997 (the next one I've got) shows only cutaways.

The 1997 UK catologue lists them but no pics.(if I'm reading it correctly.)

Heck I'll make this easy...I'm looking for a 6-string in either -4 or white.

(Char wants white gonna be her first guitar).

'95,96, or '97 but would prefer last year of production. (just for braggin rights) not that it really matters.

anyone have one of these in good or better than condition for sale?

must be deep-bowl non cutaway.
of course older models considered as well.

thanks,

Glenn

Hello Glenn,

You are looking for the 1718. I actually had one with me that night I think I amy have showed you. It is the 6 string version of the 1758. They are similar in appearance to the 1537 that OCF members have been discussing except tehy are not 2 knob models, they have pre-amps like the OP-24 and so on.

Hope all is well,

John

hey john thought that one was a cutaway, but then I also mis-described the CL/Balladeer? from that nite as well. that thing was spectacular.

That was absolutely one of the best early envenings of my life and a lot of fun. tell the wife and kids
hi.

things got kinda scrambled after that.

Jeremy's service was yesterday.

Autumn's service was today.

Mike's is tomorrow.

We're all still pretty tired and raw.

We're making it.

On a better note that Delta II Heavy, launch was pretty cool.... Beautiful weather.

God Bless, and thanks

Glenn

My model 1718 Elite was made in 1996. It is natural non-cutaway and it has the optima electronics with the high and low Z outputs. It has a brown deep bowl, and the OVATION logo is inlaid in wood. Just a beautuful great sounding guitar.

gonna take the elite down to plug it up tomorrow to see if they like each other. we'll probably come to an arrangement.
