Location: NC | I know alot of you have this book. I am considering buying the history book but was wondering if it was valuable resource for future purchases especially in regards to when one researches older "O's" to glean information?
Any help & feedback is welcomed.

Location: Canton (Detroit), MI | In terms of being a reference to the various models, it is not really that useful. It is interesting to look at, though.
The only place that I have found useful for reference is the "discontinued models" portion of the Ovation website, and it has its definite limitations. The best source of information would be old Ovation catalogs, which show up regularly on eBay.

Location: NJ | It's exactly what the title connotates . . . "The HISTORY of Ovation Guitars" (and that alone makes it worth having). If you want specs. and other tech. info, the old catalogs are where to look. I believe that there are/were some guys who had some in their galleries(?) or were trying to make some sort of concerted effort to get whatever anybody here has scanned and posted(??). Something like that . . .
Anyhoo . . .
"The History . . . " book is definitely worth having. Lotsa' nice pitchers O'Faymus gitters . . . and cowboy boots (for some strange reason). Get yerself a big stocking and leave Amazon printouts lying around the place . . . |
