Greetings to everyone at OFC. Perused the board for a few days... got hooked and knew I needed to join. I enjoy all the rantings, ravings, and valuable insights that you fellas(and gals?) spit out on a variety of topics. Well, enuff kissing rump... here's my question. The height of the strings at the nut on my 2002 Collectors seems unusually high compared to other O's that I've played. Is this normal for that model? Sometimes to make the action lower, I place a capo on the first fret.

Welcome Spunk!

Have you tried removing a shim from under the saddle? . . .

I have removed one shim from the saddle and that helped the action at the higher end. It appears that the grooves where the strings set in the nut need to be deeper. I was wondering if any other members who own one have the same problem or was it a fluke on mine?
