Greetings All,

I’ve joined the club having just bought a 1995 Adamas II (1881). Now I’ve got to wait a week for it to get here as it’s got to come from one side of the country (Australia) to the other! Anyway, it will give me some time to chat with you all and work on some good acoustic patches for my Fender Cyber Twin.
The guitar is supposed to be mint, with the only noted exception being the lost instructions for the Optima electronics. Can anyone help out with a pdf or jpeg copy?

BTW, what type of strings suits the Adamas guitars? Is the pickup system more responsive to one type of string? I mainly play blues/classic rock, so a lighter weight for bending is the usual on my other electrics (a 76 Strat and a 61 Gibson Les Paul SG Custom). My other acoustics are a 1929 Martin O-17 and a 1937 Gibson L-00 Blues King. I figure the Adamas is going to be a great “middle ground” guitar for me!

Welcome to the board! You can download the instructions for the Optima from the Ovation website.

Here's a link:

Enjoy your guitar when you get it. Hang around here ... you'll find it a good place with good people.

MGA: Use Adamas 1818 Strings. That's what they recommend at the factory -- and Welcome!
