Kim,
I just found your photos in the gallery. What is the story on the uke with the 5 piece neck? The firebird uke is also very cool.

Looks similar to the Fender electric mandolins that some of the Western swing players used. Some of them were 4 string on a mandolin scale and sounded like an electric guitar on speed.

I am tempted, but, fortunately, broke.

The Fender electric mando's were(are) great. I remember seeing one in Mary Kay finish and didn't buy it. What was I thinking????
