Had it smashed by a falling mic stand. Sent it back to the factory, where they decided to put one of the "new" lighter bowls on it in addition to replacing the top. Also installed a new pickup and reset the frets. Aside from the neck, it's a brand new guitar.

...And the color is stunning - really makes the abalone pop on stage...

I'll bet it is nice looking and does make the abaloney pop. Just having a bit of fun with green.

It definitely feels lighter - Ovation says the new bowls are 30% lighter due to injecting them w/miniscule glass bubbles. No difference in sound "unplugged", but my sound guys say it's "light years better" now - not as boomy or tinny.

The green is unique, for sure. Sometimes I adore it and other times I ask myself what I was thinking when I ordered it!
