Strange how the bracing shows through on some older guitars and not others. Not a bad thing, just odd.

yeah i noticed that in the photo too....really not that noticeable in real life....or my eyes are just slap wore out originally thought was a reflection of some kind

I think that the intensity and angle of the flash make it more noticeable when it's "captured" in the pic. The slight variations in the surface of the top are probably accentuated when the light from the flash is refracted through the finish at varying angles.
You tend to see it alot to in pics of bookmatched tops when a picture taken at a certain angle tends to show the grain of one side to be an almost "negative" of the other side.
S'probably bullshit . . . . . . but it SOUNDS feasible . . . . .
