don't leave, I know this is election day and everyone is passionate about the election but there are plenty of places to go and do that.
Ovations are our focus here. |

Even with having in in a seperate section, bad fellings can bleed over. Like Al has said, there are plenty of other places for that type of discussion. |

I respect anyone's opinion and how they vote if they have honestly researched the candidates and issues. As in religion or even type of guitars played, that is their decision. I don't respect block voting by party, ethnicity, or other affiliation. Takes work to dig through all of the media and distortions.
Our forefathers, whether generations in the United States or other countries fought and died for freedom and rights. In the United States, fortunately we have the right to vote; I feel that it is our civic responsibility to be an informed voter.
Amazing that we have "undecided voters". Makes you kind of wonder.
I commend an informed voter who casts their vote based on his or her conscience, for whatever candidate. |

Is it true that they can't decide, or are they just claiming to be undecided to get all the attention? Between now and November, they are going to be getting all the attention, from the pollsters, from the pundits, from the focus groups...I bet they are pretty decisive in other areas of their life, like choosing what they want for dinner in a restaurant..." |

Location: Tennessee | We can't forget that this election is far more than Bush/Kerry ... we are electing all of our Representatives and 1/3 of our Senators. They make the laws and spend the money. Thems is the poeple we gotta watch ...
And then there are the constitutional amendments here in California that include things like whether your local elected officals can LOWER taxes without a vote of the people, support stem cell research (this is a constitutional amendment, remember), require employers to provide a prescribed level of benefits to their employees, give the NA Tribes a 99 year monopoly on all gambling in the state, etc.
Finally, there's all of the local candidates and measures which should be near and dear to everyone.
A lot to ponder and moody's right ... you better be prepared and think about your actions.
P.S. My state senator is running unopposed ... so stonebobbo had at least one write-in vote! ;) |

OK, OK, we can't say that either, sorry. I won't do it again tomorrow and I did wait till the very last day. |

Equally amazing that 60,000 postal votes can go astray in Florida. Makes you kind of wonder |

The machines are broken and the workers don't know how to fix them. Oh boy. I feel like charlton heston in ape city. Oh wait a minute, I can see the statue of liberty. God what have done, we really did it!!! |

Location: SoCal | You know, it's kinda interesting in Florida. The urban myths are that votes were misplaced, and people disenfranchised, but despite all the newspapers and other organizations who went to Florida and conducted investigations, no proof of any of that was ever found. Yet the myths continue.
Don't worry folks. Temp and I go back and forth on this as only good friends can do. And as usual, he's wrong. And in January, he and I will get drunk together and have a great time. |

I think you and Temp are entitled to a great get together and have fun with the 2000 foibles, 2004 looks like we learnsd our lesson and probably will never see another 2000 Florida. It (2000 Florida) was a fictional creation of lawyers and politicians and poor losers who now appear to be deranged from the experience.
John Kerry has shown the American tradition of politely accepting what is and going on to promote his cause and beliefs. Elections are not war, flying planes into buildings are and cutting off heads of innocent people are atrocities that we can avenge if we stick together.
If Osama wants to threaten the red states if we don't vote as he wants, I say "Bring it On" Mr Bin Laden, if you hit my state and I am still alive, I, at 69 years old, and millions like me will get on a plane or ship and hunt you down like a dog wherever you are and hang you by the balls for all to see, I will step on your head with the full intention of insulting you. You will be humiliated like your colleague, Saddam, pulled from a rat hole, Sorry Mr creator of atrocities who has no home, suck up your asshole, you are dead meat. |

I am a hard core Republican but I take the jabs because it's part of the game. I agree with Al...........take it somewhere else and let's play some guitar ball! :D |

Location: 6 String Ranch | This is a guitar place and we don't need to talk politispoo. However, being one of the offenders of that, maybe I could explain. It was the last day and it was obviously a very emotionally charged campaign, for all sides. You all are a group of people I hang out with on a regular basis so on the last day I expressed my feelings. Not in a way to tell anyone what to do, but to just finally let it out. Lets face it, we do talk about things that are important to us and sometimes they don't have strings! Well the day is over and it's time to get back to guitars again. |

What kind of tuners went on the Deacon 12 string peghead? I have a tunerless neck and I don't know my Schallers from my Klusons much less the Ping thing!

Gloating? Haven't seen it...did in 1992. We have more important issues that require all of us, at least all of us that will stand up to be counted.
Obviously I'm pleased with the results. However, if it had gone the other way, my main concern was whether the Secretary of State would have been given to the misfit Joseph Biden. That bothered a lot of my Demo friends. Heck, my mother used to work for Sen Wayne Morris and we still got along. |

If the screw holes for the tuner are already there, you'll need to find 2 sets of 'Schaller M6L Mini a, Nr. 508 a' tuners.
They look similar to the TK_7878-010 tuners shown here:
http://www.allparts.com/categories.php?cat_id=530&cat_name=MISCELLANEOUS GUITAR KEYS
Except that they are chrome plated metal with pearl knobs instead of nylon with metal knobs. |

Schaller Minis - the neck I have has NO holes drilled for mounting the tuners - does have the @3/8" holes for the placement.
The general plan is to complete the Viper Project and sell it to finance the Deacon 12 donor body and lectronics.
My Study wall is looking real interesting lately! |
