Location: SoCal | I was just over at the Ovation web site and was looking thru the archive section of discontinued models. They've added a number of older models, and some that were, I believe, only sold overseas. There was a Country Artist that was listed with double fan bracing and a cedar top. The electronics on it were from the early to mid 90's.
Interesting stuff. Take a look. |

Location: Phoenix AZ | I browse over old high school yearbooks and dream about all the girls I missed out on. That girl in spanish class sure was a knock out... Moody looks through lists of discontinued Ovations and dreams about what could have been. Wow, a cedar topped country artist... Although I must say that as we both push the 5-0, it seems a lot easier to get excited about a guitar than some high maintanence woman. |

As I often say, there's nothing that a 25 year can offer me that my wife can't offer more of, except maybe agility. And I'm not that interested in that anymore.
I thought those guitars were pretty cool. and it's interesting that while the rest of the website hasn't been updated in a while (hint hint Ovation), the archives has been. |

Location: High, in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado | Holy moly, I turned 50 this year my self... I hope your right, I'm just now starting to get some of the toys I've always wanted, need more time to play with them...
Hey Paul, did you run track in high school there at Mission Viejo? I went to Tustin for the first two years of high school and I remember getting my butt kick at MV... Nice school, if I remember correctly...

I will play my guitar more often.
I will snow ski more.
I will play more tennis.
I will take more time off.
I will attend the OFC Tour.
.
I am learning to play Pink Floyd's "Time". Because we don't know any better, we might try to play it at the next open mic.
Back in '72 the words to that song meant nothing to me. In one ear and out the other.
"Fritter and waste the hours in an off hand way"
That song is now a call to action for me.
.
p.s. I've been here one year now. I did the math and found that I have entered an average of 1.6369863 posts per day.
p.p.s. Moody's works out to 3.491944 posts per day.
I need a life. |

Really? You're getting yours? *They* promised me I'd get flashbacks for the rest of my life if I ate that stuff back in the 60's. An occasional free buzz for the rest of my life for a one-time one-buck investment! What a deal! I got my dollar's worth, but I think they lied, I'm still waiting for my lifetime of free flashbacks......

No, wait, the voices are telling me you *can't* have them.
Everything is purple.
Wow, my hand just went through the tabletop.

Location: NJ | Years and YEARS ago, I was sitting on a third floor balcony of one of those questionable beachfront motels that Seaside Heights, NJ had been (and probably still IS) famous for, playing an Epiphone 12-string, watching the sun come up over the ocean whilst fighting off the after-effects of the previous night.
Down on the street below me is a guy walking down the centerline of the road, no shoes/shirt, wearing just a pair of ratty jeans, hair down to his arse, arms out at his side while he's looking up at the sky, mumbling non-sequitirs as he danced down the street.
A police car passed by, eyeballed him up as they passed him, did a "180" at end of the block, and approached him. When they got up to him, one of the cops said out of the window " . . and just what are YOU doing?? . . ."
The guy walks up to cop's window and says:
". . Blotter!! . . ."
They basically just pulled him into the back seat through the window and just drove away . . . . |
