The other is OK, it's a very early one, they used the late 30's early 40's style peghead. The later ones have a better looking peghead. |

Location: Central Oregon | Sombody on The Roadshow had a pair of very nice consecutively numbered National square-necks appraised last weekend. The appraiser said they were worth $5K each & since they were a consecutively numbered pair the two were probably worth $12K together. I dunno anything about Nationals, but they sure were pretty.

Location: 6 String Ranch | I saw that show and would take issue with him. A round neck style 3 would be up to 20. Two of them makes 40. Consecutive numbers, that's nice, still 40. These were square necks and I'd put them lower, maybe 4 or 5 each but no more than 10 for the pair. If I recall these also were the type of square neck that can't be converted, the metal body came up to the nut.
Wish me luck on the gold one. |

Location: 6 String Ranch | I got the space open as we speek! Actually I talked to Natinal and they made 8 of these, 4 went to Japan. This one is basically new and really hasn't been played, I got the whole history on it. It's got a 1 7/8 neck which should be great! Nice curl in the maple too, another upgrade over regular production.
So now we wait.......... |

Location: 6 String Ranch | Well this story gets better with age. It appears that there were two of thes in a previous auction (for both with no takers). The guy split them up and the first sold so he offers me the second one at a reasonable price, which I take.
This could be one of those too good to be true stories but I don't think so. Anyway we'll await UPS and see how this turns out.......... |

I am also enjoying the fact that you'll be hearing phantom UPS trucks for a while as well.
Ahhh, expectation! |

my Washburn B14 5 string is 18-7/8" Nut to 22nd Fret and 19-3/8" nut to body
I can only imagine the sound projection if a 5-string Banj-"O" had a "salad bowl" Ovation roundback resonator! It would knock all the other band members off the stage! :D |

nut to bridge = 13.125x2=26.25
...that is, I assume you mean the nut on the Banj-"O" neck, not the nut holding it  |

Tim, Thank you very much for bringing this to my attention. The guitar is #@*&^ beautiful! The body is like new and the neck s/b shows fading of the red and very nice curl. It plays and sounds great. |
