I go to Al's site alot to see what he has and I see alot of......"made for export" either Japan or other. Are these any if at all different from the US versions sold? I would think they would all be the same only for marketing so much built for overseas exporting. Are for export inferior to US version? I know...........so many questions. Was just wondering.

the export guitars are ordered by the importers.
are they better? in the case of the Adamas if you want a textured top guitar absolutely they are. Others may have some particular appointments that are not available in the USA to make them unique

It's usually just a configuration difference. Not better or worse, just different (with the exception aLeX mentioned)

Elite Lx,

I own one of the export model Adamas II (from Al) and it is a very nice guitar indeed.

Specs-wise, it does differ from the "domestic market" Adamas II, most notably in that it has an ebony fretboard instead of walnut, oil-finished neck, as well as other subtle differences.
