I saw a post on the Hamer Fan Club this morning saying that Al had made a trip to a hospital emergency room in a lot of pain.

Perhaps someone in the OFC has more current info. In any case, let's send up some prayers and good thoughts for Al.

I saw that, as well, and was going to send him off an email, but was afraid that might be intrusive.

So, Al, if (when?) you're reading this...thanks for taking the time to get back to me on the uke, especially if you have other, more important, things going on. We'll be adding you to the prayer list, as well!

Al,
I hope your recovery goes as well as mine has. I'll take a hit of Hydrocodone with your recovery in mind.

"the rumors of my death have been greatly exagerated."

Thanks for the good vibes.

Still in much pain.
saw a new doctor today.
more tests tomorrow.

It is rather painful to sit and type so I can only do it in small doses.

I did not kiss any nurses but I did grab one by the arm and beg for more morphine....she refused...

once we get to the bottom of what is wrong I am sure it will get worked out but it is all the guessing and waiting that is the most difficult part.

thanks again.

Al, glad the rumors aren't true. Maybe if you'd had your "special" shirt the nurse would have recognized you and helped out??

Big mistake while in the hospital - letting them know I could eat...that's when they pulled the IV with the morphine pump and took my button away.

Al,

If it's not to personal, tell us where it hurts, we could have a really long thread diagnosing your pain.

Seriously, hope you get well real soon.

Al: I'm sorry to hear that you are not feeling well. I can definately relate to your situation since I also had to make a recent trip to the emergency room in extreme pain from a sciatica attack. I hope that you are feeling better soon!

Al, I was just thinking about my pharmacy school reunion at St.John's Univ. I was also thinking about the building that all of the pharmacy courses are given.
The name of the building is St. Albert's Hall.I am not kidding. We all called that building St. Al's.
This may explain your fondness for OxyContin.

:D  . I know, I promised that I was not going to make any OxyContin jokes.

Wishing you well Al.

A sure sign of getting old is when you hear more conversations about ailments and remedies!

A surer sign of age is when you start listening!

When you start writing down the script names you are there!

Tony's right. We don't need to know, we may relate!

I just spoke to Al. he probably does not want this public knowledge, but just between us here is what's happened to him. Seems Kaman informed him of the list price for the Adamas Anniversary guitar and poor old Al passed out right on the spot. Frank is sending a special batch of resin to the hospital to use as smelling salts in case it happens again.

All kidding aside, we miss you and hope for a speedy recovery. I'm actually amazed how behaved the inmates have been in the OFC assylum during your adsence.

Al,

Best wishes for a speedy recovery. If it hurts that is usually a good sign. If it doesn't then there could be problems. Take care.
