Location: Toronto, Canada | On my 1581 there is very tiny gap underneath the bass part of the bridge about 4 cm in length where it appears that the epoxy holding the bridge to the top was not applied all the way to the edge.
It does not appear that the bridge is actually lifting (at least I hope not). Is this something I should worry about?
I know bridges come off the top occasionally on Ovations but I have never heard of this happening to an Adamas. Mine is a newer one (2001). I use light gauge strings (010 to 046), normal tension.
Any comments or advice is appreciated :)

Location: 6 String Ranch | Shouldn't be a problem but also it shouldn't happen. Keep an eye on it and if it growns go back to B&J and have them look at it. Can you fit anything into the crack? if so how far? It may be just a little gap at the seam and nothing to worry about, particularly with those light guage strings. |

I can slide the tip of a piece of paper into it slightly. Hopefully it's only a gap at the seam as you say.
I wish I hadn't noticed it because everytime I pick up the guitar I see it now.
Wish I were closer to the factory that I can take it in to have someone look at it.
Should I inject some epoxy into it? Or leave it as it is?

if me, i wouldn't inject any epoxy....just keep eye on it like CWk2 advised...and if gap gets bigger..send back to factory and have bridge reset....or take back to where you bought it and have thme look at it |

CWK2, thank you for the information. It's good to know where I can go.
I haven't measured it, but the paper barely goes under. I'll monitor it for the next week and see what needs to be done.
Slap, you're right. will not inject any epoxy under there.

| You bought it from Al last month. If I were you, I would send it back to Al for a full refund.
You need to pay lots of $$$ ($600-800? + 2-way shipping)to repair & fix the problem later. |
