The sound is much fuller than the 1861, which did sound good. The mid-bowl makes a big difference to my ears. I also like the truss rod being at the headstock. Now a question, Ovation calls it a dual action truss rod. Is it like Fender's Bi-Flex truss rods they use in their American Series guitars? The LX Models are great and I'm Glad The Deal worked outfor you! as far as the Dual Action Truss Rod I haven't had any experience with it. My gueass is the Owners Manual should have some info Or someone else will jump in and answer before you've had a chance to read it!
