Location: Madison, Wisconsin | Seems like I remember some complaints about the necessary volume levels on the Op-Pro preamp. I never heard any resolutions. Are there some bugs with the new system or were there just some problems on a few guitars that the volume needed to be turned way up to acheive similar levels as other preamps? |

Location: Scotland | Bill, unless there is a specific fault in a specific preamp, most preamp-equipped professional instruments, regadless of make, will put out a pretty consistent line-level signal. I would suggest that anything else is user-error. |

Location: Florida | I think you'll find it has more volume than say... a Les Paul.
Keeping the volume level up is good - better signal to noise ratio in the cable, less high frequency rolloff. |

Location: Iowa | I was one of those people. I still think the output is less than my wife's Dean acoustic, but i compared it to my friend older Standard Elite, and the output between my new Std. elite LX and his Std. Elite were pretty much the same. I guess I'd say there isn't an issue... |

Location: Lake Hiawatha, New Jersey | I have noticed the same thing with my OP Pro. I find that the knob is much less sensitve and adjusts the volume much more gradually than the pre-amps on my other O's. I find this to be a good thing because it makes it easier to fine tune the sound. All in all, I'm very happy with the OP-pro except for the fact that the sound doesn't mute during tuning. |

Location: Tampa, Florida | I played my OP-Pro equipped LX out tonight and had the volume knob on nine and my channel on the board was really hot, only reasonably loud, but enough volume. It is at max potential, though. With my amp, same problem. I have to trn it all the way to get reasonable volume. The signal is very weak. A lot weaker than my passive Fishman pickups at the same level on the amp. Something is not right. |

Location: Canton, Ohio | I have connected my LX wiht OP Pro to three different amplifiers and have had no problem...no problem with volume at all...it's plenty loud. |
