I was in GC today playing an Adamas that I had been drooling over for several months (Funny It was the only floor model NOT marked down for their supposed super sale this month) when I saw the Taylor hanging on the wall. To make a long story short, I was playing from a Fender acoustic amp (the same model I perform with) and the Adamas was sounding WONDERFUL but the Taylor didn't. No base at all. I hadn't made any adjustments to the amp and had the guitars set the same as possible. I expected more since everyone has been raving over the pick up since it came out. Just then the sales guy came in and told me I should plug it into a regular amp 'cause that's where "it would really shine". I didn't bother. Why pay 3 grand for a guitar that sounds tinny through an acoustic amp that I perform with all the time? Buy a new amp too? I think not. Just more affirmation to me that I started making the right choice 25 years ago when I bought my first Ovation! I currently have three and someday I WILL have an Adamas! PLUG IT IN!!!!

Dan, there is no guitar in the world like an Adamas. They just do everything well. After 22 years, mine still blows me away with its sound. Just great guitars...Paul Hebert
