Location: Dallas | Paul - what digital camera do you use? The pics I've seen from you are quite impressive. I need a new one to use for my eBay submissions. Input from all is appreciated, it's just that the pics I've seen from Paul showed extraordinary macro detail. Thanks, KD |

You forget that today is the OFC factory tour. Paul T. is in New Hartford at the factory (well, by now, they are off at dinner).
I for one, use a Canon PowerShot S30. With its digital zoom, I can back away from somethiing and still get clear sharp, up close pics. |

Location: Dallas | Mooder - thank you, buddy....duly noted...am taking all suggestions. Forgot about the tour as I've been AWOL. I wish me & you were at the tour with the guys...well only if they're engorging themselves with preferred sustinance and refreshing beverages....retiring to entertain one another with some guitar strokes...

Location: Nova Scotia, Canada | I use a Fuji Finepics 2400. It does an OK job, nothing special. The USB download cable was a pain in the butt, only working half the time, had to plug and unplug, restart the computer several times, not real convenient. Then I purchaced a Smartcard Media reader/recorder and now I just take the card from the camera and plug it in. This works fine, no problems at all now.

Location: NJ | If you have the extra "coin-ola" to invest (about a grand), I recommend the Sony DSC-F717 (I had it on the Tour). While it's not a pocket-sized "snapshot" camera, it takes some really nice pics and offers a lot of features. 5MegaPixels resolution, Carl Zeiss lens, 10X digital zoom, it takes little digital-video .mpeg "clips", has full-functionality like a 35mm SLR, AND . . . (get this) . . . Night Vision!! I was doing a gig the Sat night after the Tour and there was a power outage for about 20mins. and I was a bit worried about my gear possibly "walking off". I had the camera with me and I snapped on the Night Vision and was able to watch everyONE and everyTHING (even the naughty bits I wasn't supposed to!). The only thing that I don't like about it is that it uses those stupid little Sony memory sticks as it memory medium. Still, the connectivity with USB transfers images to PC without a problem. |
