About a month or two ago, buried in some other thread, there was a conversation about one of the guys (bass player?) from IB who mysteriously disappeared in '95, after making statements that he had been working on a revolutionary project to transport matter - a la Star Trek.

Well, I just read an article that said his body was found in 1999 at the bottom of a cliff in CA.

The matter transporter was not the only wild idea he had become fanatical about in the last days. Sounds like schizophrenia to me. Anyway, he's not missing - he's passed on.

If I recall... it was identified as him until his wife (or ex) showed up with pictures and medical info that did not match... and it wasn't him.

That's the way I heard it too, Miles.

And for the record, . . . . . I was never in California.
