Curious what your favorite cover song(s) are to play live?

Mine are a toss up between Cats in the Cradle (Harry Chapin) and Turn the Page (Bob Seger) because they go well with my voice and get a great audience response. As far as most fun to play guitar-wise, it has to be Bring Me Some Water (Melissa Etheridge). My girl sings it, and I get to go into a rippin acoustic rhythm/lead solo that just gets my adrenaline pumpin. It's just a real driven song that carries well with just one guitar. We also do a great version of Me and Bobby McGee (Janis Joplin), and she sings her tonsils out on that one. Gets the audience goin'.

I'm always looking for new songs for our setlist, so I thought I'd get input. Also, I'm curious what kind of stuff you guys are playin'.

Have a great weekend!
Johnny

I like You Ain't Going Nowhere (Dylan) and Up On Cripple Creek (the Band) as they usually get people singing along, not to mention easy to play!

Knocking on Heaven's door allways gets a rise out of the crowd. Also, Ripple by Grateful Dead is good depending if the crowd is old enough to remember. Both easy to play and solos aren't hard to come up with. Tim
