Location: Back in the Valley of the Sun Mesa Az. | Since I've bought my Balladeer last July, it has been improving steadily in tone and richness. Even though I absolutely love my Legend, I always spend time playing the Balladeer. I always thought the idea of wood loosening up, improving sound was over-rated, perhaps just a slight improvement, but I have noticed vast improvement, and in little time.
My Balladeer is a 1994 model, but the previous owner said he played the guitar maybe 10-20 times since owning it (it's condition supported his claim, as it appears brand new). It continues to improve over time. I've played several types of strings from light to medium, and different brands, and across the board it sounds better than it used to.
Just thought I'd share.
