It is with great pride that I inform the OFC membership that my daughter, Kaki King, is now a recognized artist of Ovation Guitars.

http://www.ovationguitars.com/?fa=artists

Popcritic is presently out of the country and won´t be able to respond to replies until 3/17, so it´s okay for this thread to be for announcement purposes only.

I told her, "They´ve given you the ball, it´s up to you to run with it."

After all these years, I can´t stop parenting!

Finest regards to all---

Dave King

Congrats

I guess that answers the frequent complaints on the board that we don't have a new and super talented artist in the Ovation world. We'll all hound the factory to treat you to the best support possible, so inform us of any complaints you have in the factory support and, hopefully, over 1000 voices will join in making your case.

Again, Congratulation, and it's your talent that gets you these things, so demand the best from the Company.

Bailey :D

Congrats Kaki! If the artist relations are as good as customer service, I'm sure you'll have no trouble.
This is great...another real PLAYER on the roster!

Thanks to all of you for your kind words about Kaki becoming an Ovation Artist. I was out of the country when I found out about it, and I'm here to tell you that I was mighty glad to make it back to the good old USA before the war breaks out!

She has some interesting gigs scheduled. On March 21st, she appears with Pierre Bensusan at the Iron Horse Concert Hall in Northampton, MA. For details, see:

http://www.iheg.com/index.asp

On March 28th, she appears in Trenton NJ at the Conduit Club. For details, see:

http://www.conduitmusic.com/

Moody.pi, she returns to SoCal on 4/3 at the HOB Anaheim:

Stonebobbo, Kaki will return to SF on 4/7 at the Elbo Room:

Sixstringer, you had inquired about mid-Atlantic appearances, so I hope you can make it to the Floyd Fest in Floyd, VA on August 17th.

Bluebird, I flew right over you yesterday. You looked to be iced in!

Finest regards to all.....

Popcritic, congratulations to Kaki on the Ovation endorsement. We were near Austin last weekend, when SxSW was happening (attending some fellow Kerrverts birthday party/music jam near Lake Travis), I wasn't about to try to go and find where and when she was playing without the credentials, etc. But, I tried to keep an eye out in the FW Star-Telegram (they always send one of the music critics/reporters to cover) I guess they didn't catch her...
I was just wondering where she played and how it went? If you know...

Hi Pop, your observation was very accurate...we have had a good, old-fashioned winter this year!

I'll be living in Radford this year which is only 25 or 30 mins. away from Floyd... SO COUNT ME IN, CAUSE I'LL DEFINITELY BE THERE!

Thanks for keeping us updated with all the valuable info Dave. Congrats to Kaki for becoming a recognized Ovation artist too. I think I speak for all of us when I say I am extremely excited and happy for Kaki as well as the "ole pops". :D
