Of course Moody's gonna shit 'cuz Glen is playing a Martin, but it sure sounds good to my ears. Guess when ya got chops it doesn't matter what the hell you play.

Location: south east Michigan | I would guess that Glen is just finger-syncing with that old, worn out, seen better days Martin.
I'm sure the actual recording was done with an Ovation. |

Isn't that a Jackson Browne tune?
Sure sounds like a Jimmy Webb tune the way he does it.

I always liked the Gregg Allman version.
Had a very "Muscle Shoals" sound to it . . . |

Had a very "Muscle Shoals" sound to it . . . I'll have to look for that. Was it acoustic also? |

Acoustic, but with a lotta "polish" . . .
Check Leavell on keys, some pedal-steel, etc.
It's on his first solo album, "Laid Back".
(his best, imo) |

Location: Nova Scotia, Canada | That old Martin D18 that Glen is playing is the same one shown in some of the old session clips on the video.
This is a "forever" guitar for Glen. An aquaintance of his told me one time that Glen had purchaced a used Cadillac in the early 60's and he found the old Martin abandoned in the trunk. He used this guitar on countless sessions.
It is also cool to see the old GCDB proto occasionally still showing up after forty years. It is at about the 2:00 mark. |

Location: Jet City | THis seems to be a theme recently with the aging artists, doing covers of songs about getting older, showing old pictures, but unfortunately the artists seem to die off shortly after (Like Johnny Cash and "Hurt")
I hope it doesn't happen to Glen. I have been kinda hoping Willie would go after doing Dave Matthews' "Gravedigger" though.
Long live Glen Campbell! |

They said they were going to record together but despite all the talk, nothing's happened. Boy, I'd like to see them do that one last recording before Campbell hangs it up or croaks..... |

Al Delory lives here in the Nashville area. I had breakfast one morning with him thanks to a mutual friend. I grilled him about the Campbell years. Great guy. Great stories. |

| It's enocuraging that Al DeLory is still alive. Campbell doesn't tour near as much anymore. This next year he spends most of his time in Great Britain. I wonder if Dennis McCarthy is still around...I'd probably listen to an album if he made one with those guys... |
