I spoke with him this morning. Looks like hes gonna be ok but he had a bit of a scare. I `ll let him pass on the details of what happened but in true TJ fashion he sold a guitar from his hospital bed, no joke a guy came to the hospital and picked up the guitar yesterday. You can`t keep the Trader down.

If the cute little scrub Nurse walks away with a 1537 for a song, you know the answer!

Being in the hospital would certainly support the theory of "I need to sell this guitar to pay for my operation!"

I know as a buyer I would be less inclined to bargain.

Get well TJ!

gulfcoast ,

Thanx for the heads up! I just talked with Jim and he is doing well. Like you, I'll let TJ give the details. But he is doing great and ready to head home. He's anxiously awaiting the doctor's visit.

As to the above mentioned guitar transaction, he did say "Can't stop trading..." That's our TJ!

Thanks guys, just got the wife to go to my office and pick up the laptop and aircard. I was at church yesterday about 7am to practice for the service (drums), and we were just about to start the last song when my left arm just fell limp. The left side of my face drooped, and I could hardly speak. I knew it was textbook symptoms of a stroke. The rest of the band kind of wondered why I wasn't playing, and being behind the plexi shield with sound proofing, it wasn't easy for them to hear me. The lead singer came over and saw there was something wrong so they called 911. About 30 seconds later, all the symptoms disappeared, and I was back to normal(?). So, now I'm in the hospital getting prodded and poked waiting for the test results. Hopefully, I'll get out of here tomorrow. And, it is true, I sold a guitar here. A guy from the AGF was supposed to come to my house on Sunday to pick up a guitar and drop off a check, but instead came to the hospital room. He also brought an Ovation for me to look at (LX C778). Nice guitar. I told him to get on the forum over here, so we'll see how that goes.

Jim - glad to hear you're doing ok!

Half of the people at my church have those symptoms during the service.

Hope they let you out with a clean bill of health so you can get back to trading.

Well, the doctors here are baffled, they can't find anything wrong with me (other than the obvious) I may have to have an event monitor to carry around for a month to see if my ticker makes a blip out of tune. Hopefully I'll be out of here tomorrow. If not, I'm getting the wife to bring in a guitar and I'll just move in.

Mark, you wouldn't fall asleep in our church. We play some pretty cutting edge music there, and loud too. Mike, the food.... well, let me see how I can discreetly put this....Sucks. I need to get home tonight cause I have a new guitar coming in tomorrow! Had the last test done today, and as soon as the doc gets to see it (probably after his golf game) I should be outa here. The orders are: take one aspirin a day.

The unveiling of this one may have to wait, as it will be my next "surprise" for the jam. I will say that I've never owned one of these before.

TJ, we just moved into our new sanctuary this past Sunday. Our regular music leader is out of town, and we had a fella lead with 1 guitar, bass, and drums behind him. This week I'm leading and adding an additional guitar (lusty red), piano and 2 singers.

We have quite a few older people. When the music is too loud for them, they stare back at the sound guys with a look that says "turn it down". And they do.

It's kind of frustrating when you can see a guitar player playing, but can't hear him.

Wear a T shirt that says if it's too loud, you're too old.
