Location: south east Michigan | I have a little OFC project going and I need a some help.
To use Al's favorite line.... "I can't talk about it yet"
But here is what I need.
1) A set of gold tuners for a slothead. Two screw style.
2) A 1-3/4" nut.
3) An ebony bridge & saddle.
4) A truss rod cover.
Now....these don't need to be new. The tuners can be well used. Surplus... salvaged parts... anything will do.
Sorry to make it such a mystery. You'll know why when I'm done. |

Location: Rego Park, NY, | Sorry Brad I couldn't resist. I't must be my juvenile sense of humor. My two younger sons Greg 10 and Christopher 7 have just learned how to make armpit farts. They have been doing this from the moment they finish their homework, sometimes during dinner, all the way up to bedtime. I should have them do this when I play my guitars. It will probably be an improvement. |

Location: 6 String Ranch | The slot head tuners, these the on a plate kind or the separate ones? 1 3/4 nut you'll probably have to make from some nut stock or a piece of bone. That's what they do at the factory when they have a 1 3/4 order. |

I think everyone get a kick out of the end product. It started out as a more rub-e-dub type project but has ended up being something pretty classy.
.
The only thing I have not come up with yet are some used slothead tuning heads. They can be the "plate" style or the indivdual style. They don't have to be new or even good. Worn out, old ones would serve just fine. As long as they fit an Ovation 6 string slothead. But they must be gold colored. |
