Location: Upper Left USA | I know some of you have noticed already that there is a small herd of Ovation solid body bodies on Fleabay now. The definition is lacking in the pictures and the description is general but they look to have "shelf" wear.
Observation - I believe that any NOS parts like necks and bodies all had some sort of issue that made them become "spares". Any word from the historian crowd.
BTW - I will be bidding what I think these bodies are worth. It should be an interesting line up of auctions! |

Location: The Great Pacific Northwest | I have many NOS necks that are indeed NOS. As in they are NEW. Some are still wrapped from the paint process and such, many without finish at all, and a few are from guitars that didn't make it for some reason. SOMEONE was going to stop by and help check them out :) I'm also in the process of listing many of my extra Ovation parts in Lisa's store on eBay. Sunny Ledges Collection
As far as the rash of solid body stuff on eBay, it has been a steady rise for some time. There is a large and growing segment of musicians still "discovering" Ovation solid body guitars. |

Where does it end????? |

Why does it have to end????
I have found my pre-retirement niche I think. Nine more years and the (smaller) check goes to the bank even when I don't show up at work. Then we sell the big house and opt fo a smaller one with a detached shop.
So that is why we don't seek a cure but we meet regularly... |

I've got most of the pieces to put the Viper jigsaw puzzle together... just need the body and pickguard (hint hint). I have no idea how I'm going to finish this one. Gotta finish the Preacher first. |

Jerome's site is fairly extensive. A great reference. |

Location: Fairfax, VA | The deacon body that's up there is the same guy I bought the back plate from. It looks like he got ahold of a deacon and is parting it out to make it pay more. If he hasn't already sold the neck, I'm sure it'll be up there soon. |

Location: Upper Left USA | Got a UPS box full of Solidbodies this a.m.
Reddish Preacher - Shouldn't have to strip it. Will be a nite one.
Black Viper III - To be stripped. Has black over Red trans, Very heavy.
Very Early White Breadwinner - Came with the copper shielding shroud. Hope to use the white finish.
Barnboard Viper - will have to be stripped, not stored well.
Black Strat - Top routed and most likely a Ply body. I will find some econo parts and put this one together for my Daughter.
There are still a few potential project bodies on Fleabay. As usual I will bore you to tears with posts about redo projects. There seem to be a few of you that have caught the bug!
Enjoy |

Location: Upper Left USA | Better yet Miles. You need a Team of Crackpot OFCer's to come up and assist you in an inventory and help to relieve your burdens.
I have done my best at trying to infect others with this DYI GAS.
I need to plan a day to drool all over you garage. I also need to steal your through-body and made a PG happen.
The body market is a little heavy right now. The necks are the next part. |
