Location: Brighty in Blighty | Bit of an odd request but here's the thing. Got a Adamas 1597, it has a minor cosmetic problem (see pics). I could just leave it as it really doesn't affect the sound etc but would be nice to put it right.
Picked up my 93C from my guitar tech yesterday and mentioned about the missing chunk, he says he could probably repair it. Then I started thinking it might make his life easier (and the repair better) if I could get hold of another neck or headstock that he could use to do the repair.
So before I ask MS just wondering if anyone has a spare neck / headstock that I could use.
Looks like it's gloss on the front and matt on the back

Either repair what you have or replace the neck if you want.
The last thing I'd be doing is chopping off a headstock to replace an "ear".
That is a structural repair, replacing an ear isn't.
I'd ask the factory if they have a replacement neck or a suggestion as what to do.

Location: Brighty in Blighty | Not suggesting I replace the headstock and don't want the cost of a new neck. Reckon it would be expensive.
What I'm suggesting is to fix the headstock. So if anyone had a damaged neck or headstock lying around I would take off the little bit I need to repair the existing neck.
I'm going to ask MS but was just wondering what the 'experts' thought. |

I wouldn't worry about fixing the ear. Just enjoy your Evander Holyfield model for what it is. Repairing the headstck won't make any difference soundwise or value-wise. |

Location: Indiana | Personally, I couldn't leave it as is... but that's just me. I'm just too damn fussy. It's a fault line in my nature.
As to the repair, referencing the correct profile on an intact headstock would be all a woodworker worth his/her salt would need.
I once watched my former tech knock out a replacement Martin bridge from a scrap block of rosewood in 20 minutes.
Blew me away. We were carrying on a casual conversation and the next thing I knew, he was fine sanding the finished part.
I called him "sir" from that moment on.
