It has been my observation that in the coated string world, Elixir meds. bring out more complex overtones and harmonics than EXP.

The difference is remarkable in my opinion.

I know that there is a slight gauge difference in the Elixir (13) and Exp (12) mediums but think it has to do with more than just that and goes to the composition and coating.
