Location: atlanta | Rick, she likes pin-striped pants because she thinks they make her legs look longer. After all, she's only 5'0" tall!
Fillhixx, good chance of that next year, She was there before and said it's a great festival.

My wife and I saw her two years ago, she was great. Maybe she's self conscious about her height, but I guarantee nobody in the audience cared. Even before she started playing, it was totally irrelevant. People were there to share time with a first class perfomer. Full stop. |

Location: atlanta | Fillhixx, I hope to see you Wednesday in Atlanta. For this tour, she's doing electric as well as acoustic. Here's a fan photopage of Saturday's show in Charlottesville:

Send me a PM if you can make the show.

Location: Hiram, Georgia | Kaki's triumphal return to the Atl!!!
Went to see Kaki Wed. night with my daughter Elizabeth and we had a wonderful time. It was truly a great show, Kaki did a lot of stuff off her new album. She's touring with a full band now and the drummer just plain kicks butt! The sound man did a great job getting Kaki's surreal, spacial, celestial effects to come out during the electric part of the show. The sound was somewhere between Yanni, and the great Pink Floyd guitar solo's, an altogether clean and pleasing sound. Just surreal, is all I can say.
Kinda like a flashback of SanFran in '69
Kaki's guitar line up included 2 Hamers, 1 Gretch, of course her Adamas, but the real treat was her slothead Takamini, it was worth the price of admission just to hear that! The best sounding guitar I've EVER HEARD! HD-28 forget it!
We met Popcritic, who gave us the royal treatment! The nicest guy you ever want to meet!
Dave, Thanks for the hospitality. Elizabeth and I are looking forward to seeing you, again, at the S.E. OFC Gathering.
Don't miss it, a great time out! stay tuned for pics in the near future. Phil |

Location: atlanta | Phil thanks for the kind words. It was indeed a pleasure to meet you and Elizabeth.
Personally I thought her Adamas has never sounded better--the sound guy really got the low end power that really defines the 1581.
I have to agree that the Takamine sounded great. It has almost a harplike tone, wouldn't you say?

She's been a huge influence on me artistically (in dance as well as music). I'm stoked to see her in SF in a couple weeks! |
