Location: south east Michigan | Some songs just fit better than others. What song comes easy and natural for you?
The one that is right in your wheelhouse. A perfect fastball right across the plate. If your are peas, the song is carrots.
There are a few I've decided to just leave alone. When Brian does "Heart of Gold" it's better if he goes solo. I just can't seem to make the chorus sound natural. Brian also sings "Jenny Jenny" much better than I can.
For me, "Pretty Woman" and "Something" are fun, easy and I feel I can do them some justice.
And while we're at it....what songs do you have to struggle with? |

"Piensa en Mi" by Luz Casal (Spain) (well known in Pedro Almodovar movie "Talon aiguille")
I love bluegrass songs but they all come after this one. ;) |

I think Blue Suede, my clients think verticle stripes.
My fan(s) seem to like an original (that the NW-OFC heard) called 'Don't Drink & Dial'.
For quiet reflection I like to play Leon Redbones "She Ain't Rose." |

Some do it well.
It must be something genetic. I can't play it. |

For singing, my voice is pretty limited in range. A good song for me is "Crazy". |

A song that came easy is one I started working on recently....Todd Rundgren's "I Saw The Light".
A song that I stuggle with, because I don't have the "correct" voice for it, is "Jumping Jack Flash".

Playing...when I get tired I revert back to playing Toby Keith's "Should Have Been a Cowboy." (Yes, I grew up country :D )
Anything by Chris Tomlin just "feels" right, and right now I'm working on Steven Curtis Chapman's "I Will be Here," which I am supposed to sing at my brother's wedding in January.   |

My version of 'Johnny B Goode' flys off my finger tips.
Santana songs are hard at first and take alot of practice but once I learn them well enough, they flow. |

Location: Hicksville, NY | I'm not much of a guitar player, so I guess, my singing makes up for it. My playing's limited to some folk melodies, fingerpicking mostly, with the likes of Jim Croce and James Taylor. I'd avoid barre chords whenever I could, cos they hurt my hands and fingers a lot, after playing them for a while.
Then again, I just want to stand back, watch and listen to others playing, as I enjoy the music as well ... |

Location: Boise, Idaho | I do 4 or 5 Croce tunes well and our vocal ranges match. Hard Way Every Time suits me and it was the easiest to learn. It helped that they actually showed his guitar on the video and he didn't use a capo like he apparently did on the recording. |
