Location: Campbell River, British Columbia | Ah, the old Metropolitan Nash with no starter, 2nd gear, or reverse. It never moved without a crew to push it and a plan to park it...yet we covered a lot of ground. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | VW's you can jump start a sticking solonoid by shorting across the starter terminals. I crawled under a lot of VWs when they weren't on hills. Drove a couple other cars that had to be parked on hills, including one of my Porsches. Nothing more embarrassing than having to push start a Porsche. |
