To tests this hypothesis of this feedback noise would involve demonstrating wave properties of matter at the wavelength given by Eq.(27.10). Relatively straightforward tests are offered by diffraction and interference - if a beam of such ``particles'' were shone at a diffraction grating and a diffraction pattern of a series of light and dark fringes results, then one would be forced to adopt the wave picture for this phenomena. We recall that for a good diffraction pattern to result the size of the diffraction and dependind on which amp you use. The slits should be of the same order as the wavelength of the light used. As we shall see in some examples later, for macroscopic objects such as bowling balls this would require sizes of slits of the order of 10- 34 m or so, which is much outside present-day technology. However, for electrons the sizes of slits required are of the order of 10- 11 m or so, which are readily available. Thus, it is possible to verify the wave nature of feedback in such diffraction experiments, and indeed this property is the principle behind the relatively common overdrive pedals. Therefore, Nature seems to be symmetric, in that light and ordinary ``particles'' exhibits this wave-particle duality.......

Or you can just adjust the knob thingies, but you're gonna need a bigger budget.

Sorry 'bout that Kalel....just "funnin' with you a bit. :D
What I think your question is,is that you want help with choosing a distortion/effects pedal and maybe an amp?
Since I play 99% acoustic (never used effects) I can't help you with your question (only B S  )......but be patient and I'm sure someone here will help you!

If you're looking to play distortion-laden solos
- get an electric guitar.

An acoustic ain't gonna cut it . . .

and don't sit with your guitar right in front of the amp, like some idiot did at GC the other day. After cussing about him, I did the same thing the next time I was in there, but at least I had the sense to turn the amp down and turn away from it.

I thought you were supposed to sit in front of the amp with it on 10 in GC. Isn't that a law?

Sorry, incomplete answer... it was Jacques Cousteau and Emile Gagnan...

This Tull song mentions the material which made Adamas guitars unique when they were first introduced.

Great idea, Bill. Next time some little twit is in there banging out his power chords, I'll grab an acoustic, plug it into one of their big amps, sit in front of it with it on 10 and play Stairway. But that would blow my chances of them giving me a job when I retire.

Very good, Cliff, but I'm afraid you're not allowed to access the internet during the game...

Second chance... Fluffy was looking at this.

Begging your pardon MasterWabbitt but I've been QUITE the Tullianado since "Benefit", have seen (and STILL see) pretty much EVERY tour (including Anderson's solo tours), AND if you were to search the MTV video archives from 1984 (back when MTV actually HAD videoes), you'll find video-taped concert from the "UnderWraps" Tour from the Capitol Theatre in Passaic, NJ where YoursTruly was in the third row (ultimately, "first row" because the the two front rows had to be removed for the camera dollies). Said video actually shows Mr. Anderson coming down from the stage and serving a glass of champagne to YoursTruly . . .

. . . AND . . . I regularly read the St. Cleve Chronicle and know that Fluffy (the Duck) is drooling over a topless bim in a G-string . . once I connected the dots . . . .

I certainly apologise for casting any dispersions upon your otherwise untainted reputation for knowledge and trivia, and I bow to your literally historical obsession with all things Tull.

Ding, ding.
