Location: Singapore | Hi:
I'm curious to know how you guys maintain and care for your Ovation guitars. Like, what kind of polish or preserver or cleaning kit you'd use, or how do you clean the headstock, truss rod cover. Well, in short, how do you maintain the entire guitar :-)
Maybe somebody out there also has practical suggestion about care for OHSC and prevention or removal of odor from it too.
Thanks! |

Location: Tennessee | Ozium will take odors out of your case. Warm mildly soapy water for the outside of the case.
Dunlop 65 for the soundboard, headstock and back. FretDoctor for the fretboard and bridge.
One man's opinion. There's a couple of million more out there. |

| Lots of suggestions about care products. The odor solution will all depend on what you want the case to smell like when your done.

Location: Keepin' It Weird in Portland, OR | I was gonna say 'Febreeze' but I don't know if they have that stuff in Singapore...
If it has a musty mildew smell... Direct Sunlight.
Other smells... 'Refrigerator Box' of Baking Soda in the junk compartment.
You should probably be able to get Ozium in Singapore since that is an internationally recognized quality product.
(whereas Febreeze is just some crap that they peddle to American Housewives)
Also at Janitorial Supply stores, they have some stuff that will remove ANY smell. Including Tobacco Smoke, Cat Urine, Mildew and Smoke Damage. |
