Adamas hum/feedback

I love th guitar, but about a year ago something happened with the electronics that caused the battery to drain almost immediately. I sent it back in to ovation, and they replace the mixer box, and that solved the battery problem, but now there is a feedback type hum when plugged in. If I touch the jack of the cable where it enters the guitar it goes completely away, leading me to think it is some sort of grounding issue. I would love any ideas or feedback before I just take it back and send it away for so long again. Thank, Del. Check the pickup connection to the preamp. They connect via a mini plug - make sure it's fully inserted into the jack on the can. Check the output jack soldered connections for loose or frayed wires. I would actually take the nut off so you can get a good look at it through the hatch.
