Tim Chapman- for ... well, you know.
BruDev- for getting lost in amp schematics
Legend LX -lost in the "flood"
Hizzoner- was facing a right wing opponent
Seesquare- He was first on the list to cull the slightly over-exuberant Northwest groupies. |

At least, thier post counts did. I knew I should have read that "Are you sure you want to" response box more carefully...
Probably just an index that needs to be rebuilt.
...or we could all just be characters in one of those "10 Little Indians" stories... |

Reminds me of a joke: A frog goes to the bank to get a lone and brings a little ivory statue with him as collateral. Miss Pattywhack reviews his application and everything looks OK except for the collateral. She has to get approval from the bank president. She takes the statue to the president and explains that she could not approve the loan herself because she was not sure what the little statue was. The president responds, "That's a Nick-Knack, Pattywhack. Give the frog a loan."

Wouldn't just going down to the cornerstore and making a friend be more rewarding? (Or, if you take the pistol, more profitable.) |

In British Tabloids (I think call themselves Newspapers) on, get this, page 2, there is a scantily clad model referred to as the "page 2 "girl.
It seems to be a clever marketing ploy to get people to actually buy the paper rather than read half of it from in front of the dispenser. |

Russ(musicamex)Swider.
He's been busy.
I had an e-mail exchange with him some months ago and designed a logo for a guitar he's been working on. |

Except maybe for including "Knocking On Heaven's Door" in last year's video. Or taping him with his mouth full of scrambled eggs. Or any one of several things scheduled to show up in this year's video (Brad's fault anyway, and no, it's not done yet).
Maybe I should be trying harder, but Jeff's so darn competitive. |

Location: Budd Lake, NJ | I wasn't going to post anything, but, a gentle observation might be that someone whose roots go back into Catholicism or who has a family member called to have a vocation as a nun might be just slightly bothered by Jeff's verbally reprehensible pairing of words in the thread a couple above this one.
I'm not asking for posts to be censored, deleted or impinged upon; what I am asking for is that some thought be given as to who might be reading the posts on this board for the first time and drawing conclusions about all of us as a whole based on the postings of a few.
Fillhixx had said in a previous post something to the effect that if you knew women were present people might watch what they say; well, whether I post or not, I read the board regularly--which makes me "present"--and usually only post when something really evokes a response. If this post seems a bit harsh, well, sorry about that; I think it deserves saying.

Funny. I was born, raised and even confirmed in the hallowed halls of the Roman Catholic Church and coming from a long line of Italian breeders, have no less than two relatives who serve the Catholic ministry as clergy and missionary.
So does that get me a pass?
if not...
It's sorta like the cartoons of Mohammed... Just cause Muslims are forbidden to dipict 'him', does not mean the same prohibition applys to the rest of us. They get pissed because they are intolerant (not a good thing to be in a world where there are lots of people who think differently than you).
The "Held Sacred" thing gets no special dispensation in my book. I don't expect people not to poke fun at my beliefs (in fact, I encourage it), cause they are free to think and say what they wish. I hold myself to the same standard.
And might I add that my comment, though potentially prevocative was made with tongue firmly in cheek. |

I have to remind myself that my daughters may read this board someday. I'm sure the obscenities wouldn't surprise or offend them, but I sure wouldn't want them to know what I do all day.
Incidentally, everyone at the NW OFC gathering was well-behaved. I was not at all embarassed to take my daughter there and she had a good time. It would have been nice if some other female guitar players showed up, however, so let's try to keep the ones we have on this board if we can. |
