John B sent me a retrofit Studio: definitely better plugged in sound, definitely. My particular axe has wiring problems, so for me the whole AD 1769 project is still undecided. Also this axe (the 2005 1769 AD) is decidedly inferior, acoustically, to my old Legend (1117).
