Fretboard
1)DW-40
2)Naphtha
3)Mineral oil
Back of neck
-Butcher's wax
Rest of guitar
-Dunlop 65

To get out scratch in the wood top ovation polyester, maybe once every 10 years, use meguire's scratch-x. I don't know what you'd use on an adamas top.

If you do a search you'll see that over the years this has been pretty well hashed over. Various opinions. Use your common sense.

What is Butchers wax? Is that just a beeswax polish or something different?

Finger sweat/oil for the fretboard and neck. Old tee shirt to polish the sound board once in a while.

Dunlop 65 polish for the finished top and back of the neck if it's got a hard finish on it.

Dunlop 65 "ultimate lemon oil" for fingerbd, bridge and back of the neck if you have an oiled neck rather than one with a hard finish on it.

Is the varnish on the shiny top Adamas the same varnish they use on the wood top guitars? Last time I actually used a bit of glass cleaner on a soft cloth and it came up beautiful.

Butcher's Wax is a paste wax used for flooring.
Their claim-to-fame is "bowling alley paste" . . .

Being lazy I use:

Fender Fret board Treatment/Mineral Oil, found in most Music Stores

Dunlop 65 for quick polishing

High Carnuba car wax or Howard's Feed-n-wax Beeswax stuff for hard polish

Tung Oil for bare wood knobs

True-oil for bare necks

Dad-spit and Thumbnail for quick cleanups

Triglycerides from my skin oils when the shiny parts need a little attention.

I hope this helped.

If Damon were here he'd say Gerlitz Guitar Honey for the fretboard.

I only use t-shirt material, and unless the guitar is really dirty, just a little breath in small spots at a time. (Kinda like cleaning your glasses.) If the guitar is really dirty, Lemon Pledge is fine. The only exception would be OLD guitars, because they have a lacquer finish, and the Pledge could damage the lacquer. Most guitars today have a urethane finish, and Pledge was made for that. Oil on the fretboard and bridge. I never wax my necks, just the occasional Pledge.

I personally like the grease off of my palms...
Especially if it is a natural wood neck.
The grease stains give it Character! :p

My primary guitar-cleaning cloth is a souvenir concert-tee from the Yes "90125"Tour(83?84?Dave??).
Heather-GreyCotton that's been worn/washed to the pointthat it's GossamerSoft.
Just make a fold in it, and it'll swab-out the smallest corner/crevice. Opened up, it glides over top/neck/fingerboard like a ghost.

Still has a slight, perceptible "hint" of the album-art on the front (screen-printed w/dye-based-ink that became PART of the fabric instead of the cheap "plastisol"-inks that would stretch, crack, peel/chip off . . .)
