OFC CD VOL.3
Hope you like it. I'm going to cap the quantity at 100 copies which is about what we've sold in each of the past two editions.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Dave
PS - The remaining few copies of Vol.1 and Vol.2 are available from Miles in the OFC Store. |

That's one advantage with the old school type calendars.
Come on folks... green up for the cause.
At first glance may not seem like as good a deal as the Big Hair Band Love Songs from the Seventies -3 disc set that I saw offered on TV last night but trust me ... it is. |

CD1 sold around 80 copies and CD2 sold about 120. Plus Miles put some extras in the OFC store. Bottom line is, this is a limited time project.

There's over 40 of them in the mail right now. Even had to carry a batch with me on the plane today to Salt Lick City 'cuz I ran out of mailers and had to dash to work. If yours comes postmarked from Pleasent Grove, UT you'll know it accumulated frequent flyer miles with me.

We tell him when he's 80 he can play from the whites. He said what if I die before then. The "other" photo is one I took from a boat of a beach on the DominicanRepublic near the town of Samana.
We were on our way out into the bay to watch humpback whales nursing their young.
The bay (and the whales) were gorgeous!
The town os Samana was an absolute toilet. |

First the music tracks, then a data session with the label and jewel case artwork. Unless someone out there has need for higher resolution, 300dpi JPEG files would probably be sufficient for our purposes. |

but I have a feeling Dave stuffs the disc with as much music as possible which leaves little room for additional information. |

Actually I think future "OFC CDs" should not be physical CDs but should be completely downloadable including graphics and liner notes. I mean, when was the last time you actually bought "a CD".
For the most part I either listen to vinyl or MP3's

Then we can print the artwork, burn the mp3's onto cd's and still feel special. |

I still buy CDs all the time and am slowly replacing my vinyl collection with them. I digitize and burn the more obscure vinyl records in my collection which will probably never be available in CD form.
I even have a legal size scanner so I can reproduce the album jacket and inserts as accurately as possible. Overkill? Maybe, but it keeps me out of trouble.
I love having the liner notes and the art. They round out the package and add to the enjoyment of the music. It's sad to see the demise of 12-inch albums and the great stuff that came with them. Who didn't hang that great poster on their wall when "Dark Side of the Moon" was released? |

Somehow, having a commercial product in hand seems like a better value than downloading bits and bytes. MP3 downloads seem too ethereal for stuff I want to keep. Besides, the home stereo and car CD players don't play MP3 discs. |

I was a radical and decided that cassettes were way better. I had one of the first reversible cassette car stereos, back when they all mounted under the dash, and the first stackable cassette home player, made by Norelco. No, you couldn't also shave with it. Both were unreliable as hell, but still better than 8 tracks. |

Thanks to all those who participated on the project and all those who purchased the CDs. I shipped just over 100 of them!
A few folks bought multiple copies, maybe to give to their friends so thanks for that. Hope they enjoy them. One fellow bought 10 of them! I also sent some to our friends back in the factory so they can hear what Takamines sound like - JUST KIDDING !!!
The last small handful went to Miles to put in the OFC store in case anyone in the future wants one.
Thanks again. Hope we can do this again in the future.

So, did contributors ever get around to presenting their individual liner note details? Who played which through what? Y'know, the kind of minutia the anal retentives (I'm sure we have them.....) live & die for.
Mr.s Witko, Doenges, and the contributors....thank you all. |

Call it Vol3 Annals(orAnals). |
