Hi Everyone,
I recently received some documentation about the Adamas guitar and I was curious if anyone knew who the author was. The document is well written and contains specific serial numbers when changes occured; some of which I had not seen before, i.e. photographed mylar epaulettes appeared from serial number sixty-two through seventy-six.

Can anyone here identify the author? If so, please let me know.

Thanks,
Nick

That was interesting. I've never seen it before. Where did you get it?

I just connected to the forum and read the post. It's a pity that such a document has been removed and no one else can see them. As per few comments posted, these documents seem extremely interesting. I think Nick was in bona fide posting documents related to the topic we are all here. Also Nick bought them so I see no rule infringement here ... maybe I'm wrong.

I am not an attorney or pretend to be one, but I suppose these documents might be considered "proprietary information", hence their removal.

I am glad I was afforded the opportunity to read these. Even though I consider these documents only a general idea of how the Adamas line was developed and refined, it's good to know just how much work went into the instruments we hold dear to our hearts.

I believe Nick said he received them, not bought them. I'm pretty sure no malice was intended but that doesn't always mean it's ok.

For the record, Al did not ask me to remove the documents; I did that on my own. I respect Al's comments and did what I could to correct the situation.

I found the document on the WikiLeaks website. Very interesting paper with tons of top secret information about a guitar which is on the market since more than 30 years. Really hope Nick is not running into serious problems with the Ovation legal department.

Taking it "in the shorts" does not necessarily constitute having sex!

There is proprietary information, and there are also trade secrets, but patents generally expire 20 years from filing, or back many many years ago, they expired the latter of 20 years from filing or 17 years from grant.
