Location: Seymour, Tennessee | A buddy of mine from my Unit has caught the Ovation bug after borrowing my Boy's 77 CB for a month.
He wants a decent natural finish roundhole deepie, would prefer one thats a little older (he's only interested in a US-made model, he's an Ovation snob by virtue of his exposure to me I guess), and he needs a hard case.
A few dings here and there wouldn't be a deal breaker but obviously I don't want him to end up with a crack-riddled beater.
He's looking for something in the $300-400 range, closer to $300 (he's a single Dad with two young kids so he doesn't have a lot of money to throw around).
If anybody has something laying around they might like to part with to help my buddy out please let me know.
I've already told him what he can realistically expect to uncover for the money he has so he knows not to expect a $300 Custom Legend or an Adamas. |

Location: Seymour, Tennessee | Sorry, regular neck, steel, acoustic would be fine, acoustic/electric would be a bonus, deep bowl or Artist depth.
He really likes Brandon's 77 deepie Custom Balladeer.
He likes Natural Elites but I told him there probably wouldn't be any to be had for cheap.
I would think a Pacemaker for cheap would be a hard find too.
In a perfect world, I'd like to find him a nice older natural, or maybe a burst, Acoustic CB or maybe a legend Legend deepie with no finish cracks, or at least no big ones, and not too many dings.
He's a good guy and an Ovation convert, he doesn't wan no steekink fladtback geetar. |

I have a lovingly repaired Balladeer LX with OP Pro and case that I could offer for $300.
Great place for a Hoo-Ah! sticker!

Location: Seymour, Tennessee | Oh, somebody brough this to my attention by mistake and I want to make sure this want ad isn't misconstrued.
My buddy is in my Unit, and we deployed to Iraq together, and came home at the same time.
He and I are NOT fishing for a donation under the guise of a guitar for a servicemember in Iraq.
My buddy wants to buy an Ovation for himself and is just looking for a good deal.
I put the want ad here to try and help him out.
He didn't ask me to.
Whew, I didn't even think about that possible turn of events, sorry if I led anybody to take this wrong. |

My buddy made a great deal on a beautiful Burst Legend from a member here and is about to be an Official Ovation owner.
Whoo Hooo, I successfully converted another one :)
On payday, I'll make another donation to the OFC reference the sale. |
