Yikes. I emailed the seller about this to find out of this was a typo and the response received was: "Per my collectors reccomendation, that is the correct price. With only 1000 of these produced and only very few actually remaining alive and in good condition this is a valuable piece."
Alright, who's gonna buy it? Beal? G8r? T28? C'mon boys, it's VALUABLE! :D |

He was smart enough to add his own picture of the label and serial number. Somebody should ask him for photos of the actual guitar and not just some that he nicked from the internet. |

Hey, I hope he gets his price. Mine will go up for sale right after his sells.... |

I'll let mine go to an OFC member in good standing (and not a "Junior Member") for half that - an even $30,000 (worldwide shipping included - hell, for that price I'll hand carry it to you). And mine is even rarer than that eBay one, since it's the ONLY sunburst 87C in existence. Hell, I'll even throw in a genuine printed affidavit detailing who has played it, including such musical giants as Beal, StephenT28, JeffW, Moody, Cliff and of course, CaptainLovehandles.
Act quickly, I'm sure it won't last long. |

87C in Orlando CL
Here's a more reasonable deal. (Especially if it's in good shape.)

South Florida CL I can't get these guys to respond to emails, I've emailed several times asking for more pictures and they don't even bother to reply saying no. Guess they're not interested in selling? |

I can't help but wonder if those anonymous email links actually get forwarded, or if they do, do they get shunted into people's spam folders? I dunno. |

For him to even reply that that price was 'serious' is laughable... It wouldn't be worth that if only three of them had been made (let alone a thousand...). Did it used to belong to John Denver? :D

Location: Parrish, FL | I stopped and looked at the one in south Florida last month when I was in Ft.Lauderdale. It is at a pawn shop in Coral Springs, just north of town. The "small scratches" are from an impact of some sort on the lower bout. The are several small cracks and missing sections of binding on the neck. The strings were a wreck!
I asked how negotiable they were on price and they said they were firm at $1200.00 at that time. I see that they have dropped the price to $1000.00. I'd say it would be fairly priced at about $700 given that it needs the top refinished and binding repaired while undergoing a MS SPA treatment.
I told them thanks for letting me see and play it, that it was a nice guitar, but not a $1200 guitar.

I looked more closely at the epaulets on the one up for auction. They are slightly different than the epis on Witko's.
G8r, do you take PayPal? ;)

(At least he admitted that the photos weren't his in his ad…)
I hope that when one of you folks snags it you'll post your own actual photos of the guitar…
…we'll also need a scan of the receipt for your permanent file at the asylum…

And I woulda shut him down if he stole my photos...
Unless he is gonna give you 10% of what he gets?
(since he is selling with pics of your guitar, not his)
These guys have one for $1250...
