| Hi,
I have an Ovation Thunderhead Deluxe for sale in the UK
Serial No. 2
I bought this from the original owner in Hartford CT years ago.
As you can see there's several lacquer cracks, it came out of the factory like this i've been told, the serial no. meaning it's a second from the factory?
For images please download a 1.6MB folder from the link below

From my research i've figured there may only be a handful of these in the UK and this one is particularly rare - i'm sure there are many people here who can shed more light on this beautiful guitar.
The rules state i have to have a price so hows about £700 ?
(Will look to trade for a monome 256)
I also have on the market:
Fender Stratocaster Pink Paisley
Crafted in JP
Mint Condition
All Original Docs
Serial: Q019580
1119-4 Custom Legend: http://www.ovationfanclub.com/cgi-bin/ubb/non-cgi/ultimatebb.php?ub...
Thanks |

Location: Scotland | The 2 on the back of the headstock is not the serial number. The serial numbers on the Storms are usually handwritten under the neckplate. The 2 indicates a factory second as you guessed. There's been one for sale in one of the London vintage dealers for a few months at £595. They're arguably worth more than that, and probably worth more than £700, but only if you can find someone who wants one enough to pay that much for it. |

| Hi Paul,
This has to be the same Paul Templeman that taught me guitar about 67/yrs ago (?!) and got me hooked on Ovations!
Thanks for the info - know anybody in the north-east that can fix the crack in Custom Legend? and who could repair the lacquer splits in my Thunderhead?
Thanks

Location: Scotland | Abe, yes it's me. I'm doing a little teaching at our local college, mostly recording/production and Uke. I do some guitar teaching at my music store.
For the Custom Legend try Kevin Parsons in Byker. The T-Head would need a complete refinish and it's just not worth the expense. I might be up for doing a trade on the T-Head. Drop me a PM |

I just KNEW there had to be a portrait in his closet or something like that? Feeling the love though... |
