I used to own a Raven RM680 that was just the cat's ass for the money.

These things played and sounded GREAT! I think they retailed new for about $850-900 and sold used around $500. If you can find one, your search is over.

I sold mine to someone on the board about 4-5 years ago and I can't remember who but he did mention a few years back that he might sell it (but I never saw him advertise it). Maybe he will step forward or you can search the archives for "Raven RM680".

It was a beautiful guitar and an excellent player.

Still has a web presence which means absolutely nothing.

Stephen, that Raven looks nearly identical to the Epiphone Joe Pass Emperor II flame maple models. Price is about the same, too.

The Raven looks good. I have played one of the new solid wood Loar arch tops. They are good. I am considering a Stromberg reissue. In my less than smart youth, I sold a blond 175, 2 L-7s, and 2 original Epiphones. Oh well...
I am going to Indy to see what I can come up with.

Thanks for your input.
