…he hasn't posted anything further to this thread in about ten days, but with one post every three years, it might be a while…
OR… Hey TJ, did you find one of those infamous sub-prime mortgages and offer to buy the entire collection? Is that the real reason why you are "done"… ;) |

He's been a member for 3 years, yet the only post he has ever made was when he has decided to sell ALL of them at once. Doesn't say much for the desirability of our company, does it? Way to go, Weaser. |

Be patient... I'm sure there are more on the way.
Or keep implying that he is ingenuine or some kind of jerk-off (as has been hinted at...), that is really endearing and will move you right to the head of the queue... |

Location: Delaware, Ohio | Well I guess no good deed goes unpunished. I thought that I would offer my 60 plus guitars to the Ovation Fan Club first out of respect and the Love I know you all share with me on these guitars. BUT MAN most of you answered your questions by why you have not heard from me by your responses. Talking about going to the DARK SIDE. I have been emailing to some of you pictures and prices. Some i have talked to on the phone which i enjoyed talking to fellow Ovation Owners. IF i have missed any PM's I am sorry my profile does not show that i have missed any. but please resend your requests i will happily send any pictures to you. I have started listing the guitars on ebay due to no interest or money from the PM's I have received. Sorry I have not gotten online to defend myself before this. Most of your posts have not asked a question but were more of a statement. I offered the 3 adamas's because i knew AL P. would kick my post off if i did not offer anything with a price. Can not offer all 60 guitars with pictures and prices on the page. I thought i would share my collection to the club if for nothing else maybe you might see an ovation you have never seen before. I will post those on me gallery page in the up and coming months. |

Location: Delaware, Ohio | sorry i got cut off during my rant. I posted on ebay a adamas prototype but i was wrong and i have corrected to an adamas III. I silence over the years has nothing to do with any of the members or the Club. I just felt I have not had anything to say. I enjoyed reading others combing Ebay for "Deals" and " what are they thinking". I have loved Ovations since i was 13 and my first guitar teacher had one. I am sorry if i have not met the expectations of some of the members in the club. Butr i will also say when i first started really collecting Ovations nothing was going to stop me from buying one that i wanted. I had over 70K on credit cards. which took years and selling my house to pay off. But when i look on the wall of my guitar room i see alot of money hanging on the wall. I have settled with only keeping 20 Ovations. Believe you me this is not an easy decision. Every guitar has a story behind it i.e. - how i found it, where i found it etc. So again, if I have not responded to all the PM"S i am sorry please resend and i will respond to your request. |

If it's any consolation, I've been down the same road. Sold off just about every one that was previously considered "a keeper". After you cut the first one loose it gets easier. And, sorry to say it but in the end they are just guitars.
Good luck with it all. |

I would be really curious to know which 20 you have decided to keep. I am sure that would be a very interesting and educational list.
Most people don't have the benefit of having a pristeen copy of practically every model available to take for an extended 'test drive'!!
Glad, you were finally able to come back and make your intentions known...
Good luck on eBay!! |

I don't know whether this was misconstrued or not, but what I meant was...I think we'd all like for Craig121 to be an active part of our forum, as I'm sure there's a lot of experience and advice he can share. Not that he is not returning P.M.'s, which I'd have no idea since I never sent him one.
So,Steve(?) join us once in awhile. (you don't own a radio station, do you?) |

As another Ovation fan, I'd like to hear more from someone who has been even more fanatical. I also like to read the stories about how some of these collections are acquired. Even though I've owned an Ovation for 33 years, I didn't know that many of the models existed until I would read about them on this site. That's pretty much what this site should be about, IMO. |

Location: Texas | Hi Steve,
Thanks for the clarification and explanation.
It’s a shame you have to part with some of that wonderful wall of guitars. However, if you keep 20, you’ll still have a very impressive O/A collection.
As for the “Dark Side” that you mentioned… My initial comment was only due to not understanding what you wanted to sell. It occurred to me that we may have been incorrectly jumping to conclusions and inundating you with requests about guitars that you had no interest in selling. Your follow-up answered that quite clearly, thanks…
There were also several comments along the lines of “Wow, where did this guy come from?” which I hope you agree is an understandable reaction, considering your massive collection and your previous anonymity on the board. I don’t think those were in any way negative, though…
The only post that I noticed that seemed to be offensive included one member’s misinterpretation of other people’s comments. This particular new member is rapidly developing a reputation for intentionally putting his own spin on things, (usually either paranoid or accusatory) and he appears to take great pleasure from any chaos he can cause.
On any public board, that type of behavior pops up now and then. Please don’t let that discourage you from visiting or posting here. Most of the members are sincere. They may be wise-guys on the surface, but most are genuinely nice folks with good intentions who are here because they love Ovation guitars.
Incidentally, you can easily block PMs from anyone you prefer not to communicate with. Just click on their screen name and then click on “Add to Your Ignore List” at the lower right part of the screen, then they will not be able to PM you.
Thanks again for clarifying things and good luck with your sale. |

Thank you so much for apologizing for my behaviour!!
When you get through bootshining, please feel free to ask Steve whether he feels I have been offensive to him or whether my comments in this thread and almost every other one I have posted to so far haven't been dead on the mark. Steve knows exactly what I am all about because he has 'seen the green'. He asked if I wanted to buy a guitar and I did... no problems whatsoever!! Which I also didn't hesitate to tell anyone that had enough class to PM me to ask, rather than sniping from the weeds...
When you and so many others here were running your mouths, I simply asked you to give him time to get his items listed... He did, you all then do a hard 360... after realizing he is 'for real' (which you never had any reason to question...), then you get right back to running me down. That's lovely... a sign of real class.
But you know what... I really don't mind at ALL!! Anybody that can be put so off balance by a new enthusiastic member posting... wait for it... 119 times in a month and a half, obviously isn't as hip and worldly as they figure they are.
I am on forums where regulars post 25-40 times A DAY... and no one even blinks, let alone get their panties in a knot.
Contrary to advise... I won't be changing ANYTHING and I don't intend to hide either. If I have something to say I will, and if that is a problem... you know where I am.
I would ask however, that you at least TRY to allow me to participate in this forum without constantly making every little comment... PERSONAL!! I think you'd be really surprised how quickly this nonsense could be turned around if you just dialed back the aggression.
I like Ovation guitars TOO, and would like to spend a bit of relaxation time discussing THEM... rather than defending myself everytime I show up!! |

| Welcome to Cybermarketing 101, folks. Right neighborly of you, there, John:
John Pascoe's long awaited solo release, "In God We Trust... (An Apocalyptic Fairytale)" is currently in production with veteran producer/side-man Ray Bach at the helm...
Essentially a 'prog suite' (where all the tracks are distinct, but inter-related...), the new album is a narrative and...cautionary tale on the moral 'morass' that the United States and their allies currently find themselves in regarding the Middle-East. A situation where there are no obvious winners (except maybe the current US administration and their 'corporate pals' who orchestrated the fiasco and continue to profit relentlessly from it... I am either 'paranoid' or 'delusional'... If the shoe fits...
