I'm a new owner of an 81' lefty 1617 Legend.
What's so neat is, I had an early 80s version of this guitar back then also. I bought a 1617 LH new from Akron Music and played it everyday till the late 90s when it ended up cracking out real bad and the bridge pulled away from the body. I ended up unloading it to buy another guitar.
I've always been on the lookout for another Legend like the one I had back then. My lucky day came last week when I ran across this 81 lefty. its the splitting image of my first ovation, except no cracks, no repairs, action is good, looks like was never played. the neck feels just like I remember my original guitar. This is the identical guitar without the flaws.
I'm one happy lefty Ovation owner
