This is the first thin line pickup elite. Fishbreath pickup and op-24. natural finish, normal black and white binding, 2 piece epaulettes, oil finish neck, walnut elite f/b, deep noncutaway. No I don't have pictures but it's 9.9/10 condition, just 14 years old with very few miles. Hard case.
Not cheap but reasonable. Send me an email if interested, we can talk.

The pleasure will be all mine ;) ;)

I'm always attracted to a guitar and golf balls package.

This is the first guitar I have gotten with a sleeve (3) of Titleist Pro V1x balls.

Doubt if they will be # 7's :p

Should be here Tuesday.

Hey, if I had know that the deal included some of Bill's microwaved and customized V1X balls, I would have been all over this one. ;)

Tony, looking forward to pics!

Stephen, where Bill plays, they might be range balls, already striped.

Actually they're floaters. We steal them from the range at night.

No, just a regular sleeve of #8s. I kept the 7s.

It arrived today...complete with a Transportation Security Administration "Notification of Baggage Inspection".

Bill, it isn't a 9.9 of 10 - it is at least a 12 of 10!!

Everything about the guitar is amazing - appearance, voice, playability.

I had to compare it with the 1537...subtle differences, a little more bass here, a little more treble there BUT I PUT THIS GUITAR AT A PAR WITH THE 1537.

Blasphamy? No...some of the guys will have a chance to play it.

Not sure what a 1718 is supposed to sound like...this one is a winner.

Will try it plugged in tomorrow.

Bill, label says Garris underneath the 1718-X and above the serial number. Is there a story behind this?

Pictures - maybe tomorrow if I have time.
:) :D :) :D :) :D :)

Garris is Larry Garris, runs Corner music in Nashville. He's a good friend and said, why don't you guys use a thin line saddle, the guys would buy them. I said if we do it needs to be in a stors so I made the first one with his name on the lable. We did a few more, not sure what happened to them. The collector's came along after this soon and had the thin line so I think te momentum went there.
Larry is still there and loves to play golf.

Bill,

Thanks...always fun to find out the history.

Maybe I'll find one out there with Alpep??

Course, if I did it would come with a Japanese manual :p  :p

Golf story. I was playing at a tough course up in the mountains with a guy who was worse than me. He kept losing Pro Vs in the woods. After about 15 holes his friend asked him, "Why does a lousy golfer like you use such good golf balls?" I think the guy actually thought the Pro Vs were improving his game.

I've never lost a string either. Do Pro Vs sound better? Mine just slice further.

Seems that the more expensive they are, the more help you get in looking for them.

True. And we had a scramble that started right behind us, so we couldn't afford to spend any time looking for them. Pretty miserable day of golf.
